Helping others to discover their purpose and live their legacy for future generations.
My passion is working with individuals and teams to create purpose that leads to lasting fulfillment. I believe that each of us possess unique talents and strengths that need to be utilized for the greater good to society.
I am a lecturer in the International Business & Management department at Dickinson College teaching courses including Human Resource Management, International Organizational Behavior, and Business Ethics. Recently, I created a seminar for first-year students titled, Finding Meaning: An Introspective Examination of Life’s Purpose in College and Beyond.
Prior to teaching, I served as the associate vice president of human resources at Dickinson College in Carlisle, Pennsylvania where my focus was on developing talent and creating stronger engagement among faculty and staff. Before coming to Dickinson, I worked for ten years as a human resource and change management consultant with clients ranging from Fortune 500 to state and local non-profit organizations.
I earned my doctoral degree from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in Educational Leadership in Higher Education. I hold both the Certified Professional Coach (CPC) and Energy Leadership Index – Master Practitioner certifications from the Institute for Professional Excellence in Coaching (iPEC). In addition, I earned the Senior Professional of Human Resource (SPHR) certification through the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM). I have facilitated leadership and team development programs throughout the country and am a certified facilitator of DiSC, Crucial Conversations, Crucial Accountability, and The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People.
I support my local community offering guidance on human resource strategy and coaching services to teams and leaders. I currently serve as the board president for the Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet. I am also an active member of my church participating in a number of community initiatives. When not involved with my family, college, or community, you most likely will see me on a local tennis court.
I currently reside in Carlisle, Pennsylvania with my wife, Lynelle, and children Evan, Jillian, and Alexa.
